A clearer direction for your club.
Brand positioning, member communications and digital strategy shaped around the character of the place.
A club’s identity lives in its course, its community and the experience people share there. I help leadership bring that identity into clearer focus, then carry it through the website, communications and creative work that support the club’s future.

Modernization begins with what is worth preserving.
Club websites, member communications and digital systems reflect the institution behind them. When those parts move in different directions, the underlying questions often concern leadership priorities, communication responsibilities and how knowledge carries forward as people change.
My approach connects the club’s identity, governance communication, digital presence and member experience before recommending individual projects. The aim is to preserve what members value while making the club easier to understand, communicate and maintain over time.
The work combines strategic guidance with direct creative involvement. I work alongside leadership and existing teams, with clear responsibilities for what I produce and what remains within the club.
Five connected areas. One recognizable direction.
A new website or communication initiative has greater value when it supports the larger institution. These five areas provide a shared basis for deciding what needs attention and how the work should fit together.
Institutional positioning
Clarify what makes the club distinctive and how that character should be expressed to members, staff and the public. Its place and experience provide the starting point for language, imagery and creative decisions.
Governance-aligned communication
Help boards, committees, management and members understand priorities, decisions and progress. Clear responsibility for what is communicated, by whom and to which audience supports continuity as leadership changes.
Digital infrastructure
Connect the website, member communications, photography and publications within a consistent identity. Information should be easy to find and use, with a practical plan for keeping each system current.
Operational leverage
Improve the information and communications surrounding everyday interactions so staff and leadership spend less time repeating answers or rebuilding processes. The role supports the club’s team through clearer systems and materials.
A long-horizon roadmap
Separate immediate needs from longer-term initiatives and establish a sensible sequence for implementation. Preserve the reasoning behind those priorities so future leaders can understand the direction and carry it forward.
A framework for lasting continuity.
The complete framework explains how these areas connect and why modernization depends on more than an isolated visual refresh.

A clear review of where the club stands and a practical roadmap for what comes next.
The assessment examines institutional positioning, governance and member communication, digital presence and relevant aspects of the member experience. It gives leadership a connected view of the work before committing to individual projects or a longer partnership.
A written assessment brings the findings together in a form leadership can review and share.
Practical recommendations identify the changes that would make the greatest difference within the club’s circumstances.
A prioritized roadmap establishes a sequence for implementation and a basis for assigning responsibilities.
The assessment has value on its own. The club may carry the recommendations forward internally or choose continued guidance and implementation support through a separate engagement.
Discuss an assessment
Clear priorities help leadership carry the club’s direction forward.
The right scope for the work ahead.
Some clubs need a focused project. Others benefit from continued strategic and creative involvement. Objectives, deliverables, responsibilities and timing are established around the club’s priorities and the team already in place.
Defined creative & digital projects
A clearly scoped assignment may include positioning, website development, editorial communications, photography or a coordinated combination of those needs. Each project connects the club’s direction with the materials required to express it.
An annual strategic partnership
An ongoing relationship brings continuity across brand stewardship, digital strategy, communications and creative production. Regular review keeps the work aligned with leadership priorities as circumstances and opportunities change.
Modernizing a member-owned club.
A connected approach to club identity, the website and member communications.
This work grew from my direct involvement with the club, including volunteer work and board service with responsibility for marketing and strategic communications. The assignment brought the club’s inland-links character and community into clearer focus through a rebuilt website and member-facing editorial communications.
As a member-owned club that also welcomed public play, Cobble Creek needed to speak to both members and visiting golfers. The website and newsletters served different purposes while reinforcing a recognizable understanding of the same place.

What does your club need next?
Whether the first step is an assessment, a defined creative project or a longer partnership, we can begin by understanding the club, the work in front of it and the priorities leadership wants to address.
I welcome project and retained relationships, and remain open to full-time creative marketing leadership opportunities where my experience can contribute.
